There are many things children outgrow very fast in the first few years of life, such as clothes, shoes, and baby toys, but I really believe that there are some things that should last for years. For instance, ride on toys.
In just a short amount of time our family has gone through such a surprising number of ride on toys that it's hard to keep track. Since most riding toys are designed for a very specific age group, you have to buy them carefully and plan just right to make sure your child will be able to use them during the right season. If you guess wrong, or if you buy too late, you are often left with a very small window in which your child can make use of it. This is why I love companies like PlaSmart that create toys that kids can use forever. The PlasmaCar was my first introduction to this great company and immediately I was sold on the fact that toddlers and grownups alike could master this unique toy in no time flat.
Because it is constructed of a sturdy ABS plastic that can handle quite a bit of weight (220 lbs) and because operating it really couldn't be any easier, just about anyone can ride it.
