A few weeks ago, I was shopping for my daughter’s birthday and came across the HABA Soft Dolls and fell in love. Not only do they have the most adorable soft dolls ever, they also carry a line of little brothers and sisters for the dolls, which makes them absolutely perfect for my little big-sister-to-be. The Haba dolls can be played with separately, or you can get them in pairs and add HABA’s awesome accessories like soft horses, doll carry cots, and even the most gorgeous doll pram I have ever seen.
For those of you who haven’t heard of HABA Toys, you should definitely check them out to see just what you’ve been missing. HABA of Germany is a company that is one of the most celebrated children’s toy manufacturers of all time and for a very good reason. With unique and classic twists on traditional toys and furniture, their toys offer exceptional play value for any children of all ages. In fact, I have a HABA wish list that is a few pages long of toys I would love for my little ones, as well as gifts that would surely make me the coolest aunt and friend ever.
For our daughter’s birthday celebration, we decided to wrap up HABA’s Fay Finja as her big present from us, and upon opening she fell in love immediately. I don’t know if it was the little soft basket of flowers or the sweet little cape, but our flower-loving girly girl was smitten with the little Fay Finja HABA Soft Doll.
Fay Finja is one of the “big sister” 15” HABA Soft Dolls and is even lovelier in person than she is in pictures. She has this adorable sweet stitched smile and lovely thick, red chenille hair that is pulled back with two soft fabric flowers. Her soft body is made of a thick fabric that is sturdy enough to withstand anything kids 18 months + can dish up, but yet is still soft for cuddling and carrying. She even has a great little beanbag seat so she is able to sit up on her own, which makes it easy to display her on a shelf or place in a seat or baby stroller comfortably.
What makes the HABA Soft Dolls so cool is their intricate details and accessories that really add to their kid appeal. From Fay Finja’s cape to her adorable 4 piece mix-and-match outfit and her basket full of flowers, my daughter loves all of her little parts that make her so fun to play with and pretend. So fun to play with, in fact, that sometimes Fay and her little pieces need a good bath, so I love that she and her acessories are either hand or machine washable.
Now that I have seen how much my daughter loves her little Haba doll, I am definitely going to be keeping an eye out for one of the 12 inch little brothers in the HABA Soft Doll line. I’m sure my daughter will love that both her and Fay have little brothers to play with (and force to do stuff like pick flowers). And, if our little boy should some day want a doll of his own, the HABA Soft Doll little brother line will give him a more masculine and boy-friendly option to play with.
